Nuclearization is changing the world. It is the evolution of war. Nevertheless nuclear weapons are there just to show power since the reality is that men are afraid of the damage they can cause. Why haven't we had a third world war?
Four countries besides the five recognized Nuclear Weapons States (United States, Russian Federation, United Kingdom, France and China) have acquired, or are presumed to have acquired, nuclear weapons: India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel. The United States is the only country that has used a nuclear weapon in war, when it used two bombs against Japan 1945.
At present, 189 countries belong to the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons, more commonly known as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty or NPT. Including the People's Republic of China, France, Russian Federation, the UK, and the United States.
